Fort Wayne Metals Research Products Corporation has been recommended by TUV Rheinland for AS 9100B certification, an international quality standard for the aerospace industry. This certification will prove the Company's dedication to quality processing, testing and documentation as it expands its product offering.
"Achieving this high standard will better position Fort Wayne Metals to attract new business to Northeast Indiana and to increase its customer base in industrial, military and aerospace applications," said Kris Keys, Specialty Product Manager.
AS 9100B will strengthen Fort Wayne Metals' ISO 9001:2008 certification by requiring additional standards that address civil aviation, military aviation and aerospace needs. The certification process included a stringent eleven-day onsite review and inspection.
This AS 9100B certification will provide the opportunity for Fort Wayne Metals to re-enter the aerospace market. Ardelle Glaze, the Company's founder, worked with NASA, GE Energy and the military on satellites, radar systems and stainless steel recording wire in the 1970's. "This certification reflects our Company's continuous efforts toward growth and our employees' overwhelming dedication to excellence," said CEO, Scott Glaze.
